The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are symbolic figures in the Book of Revelation, which are believed to herald the apocalyptic events that precede the final judgement. Unleashed upon the world as a series of divine judgements, they embody powerful forces (conquest/pestilence, war, famine, and death) that bring about destruction and turmoil during the end times.
