The design of the Season Vase (岁月) is inspired by a Chinese traditional candle holder with an extended rim. The unique shape of the open rim evokes how objects were held with respect in ancient times.

The twelve facets are inspired by the number's association with the passing of time and seasons in Chinese.

The shape of Season Vase features the crafters' advanced carving skills. The facets gradually disappear at the bottom and form a smooth surface, which creates a change in the shadows' texture.

When flowers are presented in the vase, the wide lip with the flower together creates an image of two palms holding the flower.
